Evaluación del Habla y Tratamiento para Pacientes con Fisura Palatina

Este compendio fue escrito a raíz de una misión que se llevó a cabo para la intervención de fisuras labiales y palatinas. Dicha misión se llevó a cabo en Villahermosa, Méjico, entre el 4 y el 9 de febrero del ano 2001. Se realizaron cirugías al labio o al paladar de cincuenta ninos, a razón de diez ninos por día. El propósito de este informe, disponible tanto en inglés como en espanol, es de servir como guía práctica y sucinta de los aspectos fundamentales de la evaluación y el tratamiento de trastornos del habla producidos por la fisura palatal. Existen fuentes más detalladas y comprensivas sobre este tema que han sido resenadas por D. P. Kuehn y K. T. Moller (2000).
